IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) releases its calendar every year in the month of January and conducts a three-step examination to carry out the recruitment process of Probationary Officers in various Public Sector Banks of India. As mentioned in the IBPS Calendar 2019, IBPS PO Preliminary and Mains Examinations are scheduled to be held in October 2019 and November 2019 respectively. IBPS PO 2019 Notification

In the year 2018, IBPS released the notification for the recruitment of Probationary Officers in the month of August. Based on the previous year notification, it can be conjectured IBPS is likely to invite applications for IBPS PO 2019 Exam in August 2019. We will update the link to the official notification as soon as it is updated on the official website of Institute of Banking Personnel Section (IBPS).

IBPS PO 2019 Exam Dates

The IBPS Calendar is out already which clearly declares the dates of IBPS PO Prelims Exam as 12th, 13th, 19th, and 20th October 2019 and IBPS PO Mains Exam as 30th November 2019. Given below is the table from IBPS Calendar 2019 which shows the exact dates of IBPS PO Exam 2019:

IBPS PO 2018 Final Result

The third phase i.e. Personal Interview round of IBPS PO 2018 Recruitment Examination is yet to be conducted. The final result of IBPS PO 2018 Examination will be released on 1st April 2019.

IBPS will activate the link for online applications on its portal as soon as it releases the official notification for IBPS PO Vacancies 2019. The online registrations are expected to begin in the month of August this year.

IBPS PO Vacancies 2019

The total number of vacancies in the year 2018 for the post of Probationary Officers was 4102. This year's vacancies will be declared through the official notification of IBPS PO 2019 recruitment which will be updated here as soon as it is out.

IBPS PO 2019 Exam Pattern

The examination for IBPS PO Recruitment process is carried out in three phases i.e. Preliminary Exam, Main Exam and Personal Interview. Following is the expected pattern of IBPS PO 2019 Exam if there is no change in the pattern this year and it remains the same as last year's:

Phase-I: IBPS PO Preliminary Examination 2019

Phase – II: IBPS PO Main Examination 2018

Main Examination consists of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 25 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests were conducted online.

Objective Test

The objective test of 3 hours duration consists of 4 Sections for total 200 marks. The objective test has separate timing for every section. The candidates are required to qualify in each of the Tests by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank.

Descriptive Test

The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 25 marks is a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).

  • Important Note – Marks obtained by the candidates in the Main examination will be considered for short listing for Interview and preparation of final merit list.
  • Note: There will be negative marking for every wrong answer in both Preliminary and Main Examination for which there is a penalty of ¼ or 0.25 of the marks assigned to the particular question.

We do not claim that it will exactly be the same as we expect it to be for IBPS can surprise candidates with a changed face of banking examinations anytime. So, you also have to prepare yourself for all sorts of bombshells that can be dropped by IBPS when IBPS PO 2019 is conducted.

Phase – III: IBPS PO Interview:

The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The qualifying marks in the interview are 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). The weightage (ratio) of CWE (Main exam) and interview for final merit list will be 80:20 respectively.

IBPS PO 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:

A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess a valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he/she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.

Age:

Minimum: 20 year, Maximum: 30 years

Approximate salary of a Bank PO is 35,000 - 40,000


IBPS RRB Assistant 2019 Exam Pattern

IBPS conducts IBPS RRB Exam for the recruitment of candidates as probationary officers - scale I, II, III and office assistants in Regional Rural Banks of India every year. Regional Rural Banks are local level banks functional in the different States of India. They have been created with a view to serve primarily the rural areas of India with basic banking and financial services.

IBPS RRB Assistant 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:

A candidate must be Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate should have passed in English as one of the subjects at SSC/ HSC/Intermediate/ Graduation level. Candidate must have passing certificate.

Minimum: 18 years, Maximum: 28 years

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts a common written exam (CWE) every year for the recruitment of clerical cadre in various banks all across the country. All Public Sector Banks use the written exam - IBPS Clerk 2019 Exam to recruit candidates for the number of vacancies that are released in the official notification. IBPS will be conducting Clerk exam for the ninth time this year and hence it is named as IBPS Clerk CWE IX. IBPS Clerk CWE exam will be conducted on two levels- preliminary and mains. Students qualifying both the phases will be finally selected as Clerks in various Public Sector Banks across the country.

IBPS Clerk is an entry-level job in different public sector banks (PSBs). IBPS Clerk Exam is conducted once in a year to hire candidates for the post of clerical cadre. The IBPS Clerk examination consists of two common written exams (CWE): IBPS Clerk Prelims exam and the IBPS Clerk Mains exam. In every clerical recruitment, it is very important that the candidates are well versed with the regional or local language of the state for which they are applying because IBPS might conduct a regional language proficiency test after the mains examination. After a certain time, a clerk becomes an officer through internal bank exams or experience based promotions.

IBPS Clerk 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:

A candidate must possess the minimum qualification of Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate should have passed in English as one of the subjects at SSC/ HSC/Intermediate/ Graduation level. Candidate should possess a certificate in proof of passing the qualifying examination. Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.

Age:

Minimum: 20 years,Maximum: 28 years

IBPS Clerk 2019 Salary:

Approximate salary of bank clerk is 18,000 - 20,000.

Note: The Candidates who have successfully registered themselves in PO/MT/CLERK are required to crack preliminary exam and the successful candidates in Preliminary examination eligible to appear IBPS Mains and shortlisted candidates are called for the interview on the basis of their score in mains exam.

IBPS SO 2019 Exam Pattern

IBPS conducts Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for selection of personnel in Specialist Officers’ cadre - IBPS SO for various posts once a year. This is a bright opportunity for candidates having a technical or specialized degree in the fields of Information Technology, Agriculture, Law, HR, and Marketing to start a promising career in government banking sector. IBPS also conducts another recruitment process for all graduates for the posts of Probationary Officer and Clerk or Office Assistant.
